Plan Your Move
It is very important that you plan out how you are going to move in advance. This also gives you a great opportunity to get rid of your extra clutter. Go through each room and decide which items you really don't need anymore. Make a keep stack and a cut stack.
The Cut Stack
Sell or donate the items in you have in your cut stack. This can include large items such as furniture and appliances. Having a garage sale will not only help off-load your unneeded things, but you can make a bit of money as well.
Packing
Boxes, tape, bubble wrap and a marker are essential for getting everything you need packed and ready to go. Pack your fragile items with bubble wrap or towels. You can use newspaper, but it can transfer ink onto your things if the humidity is too high. Don’t forget to mark each box with what's in it and the room where it belongs.

How you move your stuff depends on a few things; how much stuff do you have? How far will you be moving? Can you get friends and family to help? Do you have a friend that owns a truck?
